Man airlifted from oil platform

A man had to be airlifted from an oil platform off the isles coast on Sunday evening.

The medical evacuation took place 137 miles north east of Sumburgh.

A call went out to the UK Coastguard at 8.30pm, with the medivac being completed just before midnight.

The man was flown to Tingwall Airport and taken from there to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
