An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Environmental Compliance Technician to work closely alongside our Environmental Compliance Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Shetland, although regular travel to Orkney will be required. You will be required to work outdoors on company workboats and assist in carrying out tasks associated with environmental monitoring and compliance. Duties will include but not be limited to:
Collecting compliance monitoring and residue samples (benthos)
Collection of in-house samples (benthos and water column)
Completion of associated paperwork and reporting
Deployment and retrieval of instruments associated with data gathering.
Previous experience in an Aquaculture role would be advantageous, although full training will be provided. Demonstratable communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and accurate record keeping are essential. A full driving license is a must to access some of our locations.
