Wildlife watchers in Whalsay have been enjoying spotting rare hummingbird hawk moths feeding in the isle.
This photograph was taken at Skaw on Friday 26th June by John Lowrie Irvine and shows one of the moths feeding on red campion.
John Lowrie and Angela Irvine enjoyed watching three of the moths on one of the escallonia bushes in Angela’s mother’s garden at North Park, Whalsay.
