Cunningsburgh Show goes virtual

The Cunningsburgh and Districts Agricultural Society will defy coronavirus restrictions by hosting a virtual show.

Lockdown regulations meant the county show was cancelled earlier this year, with the committee announcing its decision in April.

But there will be a “virtual show” on Saturday 8th August open to Shetland residents.

There will be classes for animals and home industries for adults and bairns. First, second and third places will be awarded but there will be no prizes.

All the available classes and rules can be found online

Entry starts on Saturday 4th July and closes Friday 31st July. Results will be announced on “show day”.
