Lerwick Power Station’s new engine arrives for installation

Energy company Wärtsilä Energy recently delivered a new engine to the Lerwick Power Station, which is expected to be up and running early next year.

The 100-tonne unit was delivered by boat to the isles, and escorted to the power station by police late at night to avoid disruption to drivers.

    Good to see local firms showing their capabilities for such a big project.
