The SIC has said it will attempt to collect black bags from houses in Dunrossness and Levenwick on Tuesday morning, after wintry weather made it impossible today (Monday).
Folk are asked to have their bins and black bags out ready for collection from 7.30am on Tuesday.
The council apologised for any inconvenience caused.
