The Lerwick Health Centre will only be accepting emergency patients this week due to staff illness.
NHS Shetland said that the reduction in service was “unavoidable”.
The health board said it would take longer to deal with non-urgent requests.
“We apologise for this reduction in service, which is unavoidable, and would ask patients for their understanding and patience,” it added.
