Man airlifted from boat 18 miles off Muckle Flugga

A man was airlifted from a boat 18 miles west of Muckle Flugga as a crewman had taken ill. 

The call was made at 5.30am on Wednesday and the crewman was taken to Tingwall by the Sumburgh-based rescue helicopter, where they were met by Coastguard and an ambulance crew. 

Emergency services were stood down by 8am.
