A 27-year-old man has appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with two sexual offences.
Adam Burnett, of Lerwick, appeared on Wednesday afternoon charged with sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration.
He made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
No date has been given for his next appearance.
