Orcas draw large crowd in Lerwick

The 65-pod made Lerwick their residence yesterday (Thursday) after being spotted on a number of occasions throughout the day.

Richard Ashbee who photographed the orcas at  Greenhead port said a “lot of admirers” came to catch a glimpse for themselves.

I’ m currently researching the old fishermen’s ganseys and wondered whether anyone in Shetland could give me any information, plus still own a gansey. I run The Lowestoft Gansey Project, so that you can see the sort of work that we do to keep our heritage alive. Many thanks. Jan Whitehead.
