Sumburgh Airport reopens

Sumburgh airport has reopened after briefly being forced to close this morning (Wednesday) due to overnight snow.

HIAL confirmed the airport reopened at 8.45am.

Meanwhile, all schools across Shetland were open this morning, after a number in the north and west closed yesterday due to the heavy snow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Shetland over the next two days.
