A laying of wreaths took place at the County War Memorial in Lerwick this morning (Sunday) to commemorate the end of the Battle of Britain on this day in 1940.

Vice Lieutenant Iain Tulloch and SIC deputy convener Bryan Peterson led the service outside of the Lerwick Town Hall.
