Big ships shelter
Strong winds made for a packed Lerwick Harbour last weekend as a host of vessels sought shelter.
Norwegian-registered diving support ship Skandi Seven was a regular visitor, coming into the harbour three times in the space of seven days as she is working in Yell Sound on concrete covering for some recently-laid seabed pipes.
There was a fair amount of oil-related traffic with the supply ship Caledonian Vigilance arriving on Monday before sailing for the Magnus field.
One of the largest vessels in port was the 110-metre, Bahamas-registered OHM Express which arrived on Saturday, while the Norwegian reefer Framnes arrived at Gremista South on Wednesday from Scrabster.
A trio of Danish fishing boats came in for shelter on Saturday and stayed to land fish at the LHD market on Monday morning, while closer to home Northmavine fishing boat the Altaire made a fleeting visit on Wednesday to drop off a net.
