Celts are County Shield winners

Celtic defeated Whalsay 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to secure the County Shield, the final knockout competition of the senior football outdoor season.

James Aitken was the man who did it for the Lerwick side, with two goals against a Whalsay team missing a few players because of work commitments and Karl Williamson's wedding hamefarin.

Lee Irvine got a consolation for the Bonnie Isle side but it came too late and by all accounts Celtic were worthy winners of the Gilbertson Park clash.

Steven Kerr from GTS Direct, who are sponsoring this season's County Shield competition, presented the trophy to a delighted Celtic captain Joel Bradley after the match.
