The man was later named by police as Neil McLaughlin, 53, from Cheshire. They said the death was not being treated as suspicious at this time but a report had been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Petrofac communications officer Nathaniel Mumford said the deceased was found at the Sella Ness accommodation block. Mr Mumford said: “This is a tragedy and our sympathies are with the family and friends of the deceased.”
