Man airlifted from oil standby boat





A man had to be evacuated from a standby vessel after he was injured during an on-board exercise on Wednesday morning.

Shetland Coastguard was contacted at around 9am and a rescue helicopter airlifted him from the Vos Defender to Tingwall airstrip, landing there at around 11.50am, from where he was transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
