Man faces assault charge

A man has appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life.

Sydney Peter James Johnson, 21, of Brae appeared from custody on a petition before sheriff Philip Mann.

He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination before being released on bail.
