Man knocked down by town service bus on Esplanade





A man was knocked down by a bus on the Esplanade in Lerwick on Wednesday afternoon and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.The incident occurred at around 4pm when he was hit by a town service bus and he was taken by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital soon afterwards. Police said his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

In a short statement, officers thanked members of the public for their assistance at the scene and appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Lerwick Police Station.
