Motor home blaze in car park





A motor home parked in the Tesco car park set alight at about 5pm yesterday.The owner made the call to the emergency services, and one fire appliance from Lerwick attended. The firefighters extinguished the blaze using one hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus.

The motor home's engine compartment and cab were damaged, but no-one was hurt in the incident.

The blaze is the second of similar incident this week. On Wednesday a Scottish Water truck's cab was destroyed after it went on fire at Quarff.
