North oil chance

PLANS by a Canadian oil firm could provide a boost to the Sullom Voe oil terminal.

Calgary-based Antrim Energy this week announced proposals to develop the Causeway oil field in the northern North Sea.

Around 15,000 barrels will be pumped out of the area should the plans be approved next year.

Oil produced from the well will be sent to the Dunlin processing facility, which will allow crude to be delivered to Sullom Voe through the Brent pipeline.
