Pair arrested as heroin and valium seized in house raid

Police in Shetland seized heroin and a large stash of valium in a raid on a house in Lerwick on Thursday.

Two men, aged 35 and 46, are to be reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged drug dealing.

Chief inspector Dave Bushell said the force continued to receive help from the public in relation to illegal drugs and it was clear that the people of Shetland shared the desire to stop drugs entering the community.

He said: "We will relentlessly pursue those involved in drug-related activity using our successful, proactive intelligence-led approach.”
