Photo gallery: Scalloway Fire Festival

Guizer Jarl Kenny Grant and his squad of Vikings made their way through the streets of Scalloway last night followed by scores of guizers who formed 12 different squads.

The procession was blessed with good weather and a large crowd gathered to watch the burning of the galley boat, Eiluj, at Port Arthur.

That was just the start of a long night with the squads doing visits to six halls as the festivities continued into the small hours. Full coverage in next week's Shetland Times.
