Pick-up overturns at Scord





Three people escaped injury this morning when the 4x4 they were travelling in overturned onto its roof at the top of the Scord hill near Scalloway.

The accident, involving a Mitsubishi pick-up, took place near the quarry in the area shortly before quarter to nine this morning.

Police and ambulance services attended. Police said initial reports showed the occupants were trapped in the vehicle, however they managed to free themselves apparently unharmed.

The fire service was informed but stood down.
