Shetland west polls open for by-election

Polls have opened for the Shetland West council by-election.

Polling stations will be open until 10 pm and votes will be counted tomorrow morning in Lerwick Town Hall.

The election follows the resignation of counselor John Leask.

Hoping to take over from Leask are Greens' candidate Debra Nicolson, Zara Pennington of the SNP, and Mark Robinson who is running independently.
