Swannie remanded after alleged assault

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court today (Thursday) accused of threatening or abusive behaviour and assault.

Kyle Swannie, 29, whose address was given as Shetland, made no plea at Lerwick Sheriff Court in a private hearing.

He was also charged with assault to injury.

Swannie was committed for further examination and will appear again in the next eight days.
