Thieves steal lead at Virkie yard and camcorder in Lerwick





A large quantity of lead has been stolen from a yard in Virkie. The police said the metal went missing sometime between 5pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday.

In Lerwick, the police have arrested a man after a shop on Commercial Street was broken into in the early hours of Friday.

The police have also warned people to be wary of being offered a second-hand camcorder for sale. It was stolen from an office in the Garthspool area of Lerwick sometime between Wednesday and Friday last week.
