UPDATE: Police shut off A970 near Vidlin after crash

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash at the Vidlin Junction this afternoon (Tuesday).

As a result, police closed off a section of the A970, with the closure delaying the Whalsay ferry.

The two-vehicle crash left occupants in need of medical treatment and assessment.

Officers warned drivers to avoid the area.
