Rugby juniors need your vote

The Shetland Junior Rugby Club is appealing for help in their bid to come face-to-face with sporting legends, after being shortlisted in a national competition.

The club is one of 40 teams to be shortlisted in the annual grassroots campaign, run by AEG.

Now they will compete for votes on the AEG Facebook page to win the ultimate sporting prize – hosting a "best seats in the house" event where two rugby legends will provide live commentary of an international game.

A hundred invited guests will enjoy refreshments during the game, and get the chance to pose questions to the professionals.

Having battled it out against more than 800 other teams, the Shetland club has already secured an "ultimate kit and laundry package", comprising a bespoke Canterbury kit designed by the team, plus an AEG washing machine.

Club supporters have until today to register their vote.

England rugby star and commentator Will Greenwood said: "The shortlisted clubs have done brilliantly to get this far – but now they are wholly dependent on their local community casting their vote."

AEG head of marketing Graham Bremer said: "This is an unbeatable opportunity to help your local team win direct access to the sport's living legends. So don't delay – get behind your local club by registering your vote today."
