Women’s football team face Celtic B





The Shetland women’s football team travels south this weekend to play in the second round of the Unite Scottish Cup.

They face tough opposition against Celtic B who currently lie fourth in division one of the national leagues.

Sunday’s game will be played at Loretto Playing Fields, Bishop­briggs with the early kick-off at 9.30am.

Team manager Derrick Bradley said any Shetland support in the area would be very welcome.

The squad selected for the match is: Sarah Couper, Kirsten Robertson, Brenda Leask, Indiya Bradley, Debbie Sneddon, Zoe Irvine, Sarah Grogan (captain), Emma Gray, Lynda Flaws, Karen Jarvie, Jessica Bradley, Josie Jamieson, Toni Sidgwick and Karen MacKelvie.

Bradley said the team was grateful to Bolts, NorthLink, Hughsons and the SIC for their help and support.
